Being one of the few manufacturers in Saudi Arabia specialising in steel billets, SULB National Company with its market-leader quality is considered the biggest enterprise in the Middle East that runs its operation based on induction furnaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During phase 1 starting in 2016 SULB will start production with 300.000 t of steel billets. Stainless steel can also be produced. Phase 2 starting in 2018 foresees similar expansion targets. The intended production capacity amounts to 600,000 t.<\/p>\n\n\n

With Rabigh as a manufacturing site SULB boasts a strategically favourable location situated at the heart of the western province of Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, this region is home to many rolling mills that serve as buyers for these steel billets. Another logistical advantage is the port of Rabigh, which is only a few kilometres away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-quality systems for processing light and heavy-metal scrap form the basis for the successful future of this company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CYRUS will therefore supply two mobile charging cars<\/a> in total with a bunker volume of 30m\u00b3 for the two new multi-frequency furnaces with a theoretical smelting capacity of 34 t per hour. This smelting system will be commissioned in early 2016. The machines include several safety features but also add-on functions in order to live up to the customer\u2019s high expectations. In the area of the vibratory trough conveyor there is a screen deck integrated in order to remove any impurities from the steel before it enters the furnace. \u201cThis substantially impacts the quality of the melt and our efficiency, as we intend to supply our customers with an even higher quality of steel billets in future. In operating terms we are reducing the removal of slag, which constitutes a potential risk,\u201d says Mr. Faisal Alawi Haddawi (Managing Partner) of SULB National Company during the inspection and approval of the machines at CYRUS\u2019 premises in Recklinghausen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The above mentioned capacity expansion plan in Phase 1 also causes special feelings for the market leader in mobile charging systems, CYRUS Schwingtechnik GmbH in Recklinghausen. \u201cDespite the over 450 charging machines between 2t and 20t we have delivered, the big charging machines never cease to amaze us. 28.8t of deadweight, numerous integral add-on functions and in excess of 7 kilometres of welded seams are just some of the facts that impress us here at CYRUS,\u201d says Dirk Ladach, Head of Production at CYRUS.<\/p>\n\n\n
